An Empirical Micro Matching Model with an Application to Italy and Spain

A large literature investigates the role of frictions in explaining labour market dynamics. Their presence is often summarized by an aggregate matching function relating the number of job matches to total unemployment and total vacancies. Most empirical specifications, however, are only reduced forms with no micro-foundation. Further, for many countries, empirical research on the matching function cannot be carried out because data on vacancies are simply not available. This paper looks at a job match as a transition from non-employment to employment. This transition is decomposed into two parts, one determined by the matching technology and one by individual search intensity. We show how the micro-founded model of Pissarides (1979) can be identified using only microdata on labour market transitions. This enables us to obtain a measure of market tightness even without information on the demand side of the market. The method is then applied to estimating the Italian and Spanish matching functions using data from the quarterly labour force surveys.Matching function, market tightness, labour market transitions, search intensity

Seu objetivo principal é o de mudar a presente atitude assumida pela crítica não especializada a qual leva apenas a depreciação de tal atividade. Para isso 21 tradutores de TV, vídeo e cinema para legenda e ou dublagem responderam um questionário cujo principal objetivo era identificar as características inerentes ao processo da tradução de filmes bem como as principais dificuldades lingüísticas que esses tradutores enfrentam . Essas características provaram ser indispensáveis não apenas para as definições de tradução de filmes de boa qualidade para dublagem e legendagem mas também para a análise das áreas problemáticas presentes nos filmes sugeridos pelos respondentes e nos filmes selecionados ao acaso pelo pesquisador. Além da incompetência do tradutor que os críticos insistem em apontar como principal causa das insuficiências na tradução de filmes foi concluído através dessa análise que muitos outros fatores podem influenciar as opções de tradução do tradutor e conseqüentemente a qualidade do produto final

Estudio de factibilidad para la creación de una empresa de producción y comercialización de gerberas, "Gerberas del Café" en la ciudad de Pereira

El estudio de factibilidad realizado para analizar la creación de GERBERAS DEL CAFE, Cultivo de flores ornamentales, permitió definir ciertos criterios. - El estudio de mercados infiere sobre la población objetivo de GERBERAS DEL CAFE, obteniendo como resultado demandas potenciales favorables, respaldadas por una penetración de mercado progresiva, lo que le da vía libre a las proyecciones de ventas realizadas y muestra factibilidad comercial. - La factibilidad técnica, comprendida por los estudios de tamaño, localización e ingeniería, muestra que la capacidad de la empresa cumple con las necesidades de producción, además de ajustarse al diseño requerido por las condiciones del cultivo y al lugar elegido para su implementación. - El estudio administrativo y legal, garantiza el correcto funcionamiento de la empresa a partir de direccionamientos estratégicos claramente definidos, manuales e instructivos de trabajo óptimo, y trámites legales y de reglamentación identificados, dando como resultado una empresa factible desde el punto de vista organizacional, reflejado en el excelente servicio al cliente que se presta. - El estudio de factibilidad financiera arroja resultados positivos que determinan la viabilidad de la creación de esta nueva unidad de negocio; los ingresos son suficientes para cubrir sus costos de inversión y sostenimiento. - El análisis de sensibilidad evaluado con el VPN, TIR y B/C refleja que se debe aceptar la inversión ya que todos los valores obtenidos son positivos - Como se establece en las políticas ambientales de GERBERAS DEL CAFE, el impacto al medio ambiente es positivo en todo momento a partir de procesos más limpios y campañas de protección ambiental implementadas en el proceso de producción y comercialización, respaldando las iniciativas de responsabilidad social y ambiental generadas alrededor de todo el planeta. - Finalmente, es importante resaltar la necesidad de creación de empresa con sentido social y de impacto positivo; se recomienda buscar la disminución al máximo de costos operativos para mejorar las expectativas en el proyectoThe feasibility study undertaken to examine the creation of GERBERAS Coffee Cultivation of ornamental flowers, possible to define certain criteria. - Market research on the target population inferred Gerbera COFFEE, resulting in favorable potential claims, backed by a progressive market penetration, which gives free rein to sales projections and shows commercial feasibility. - Technical feasibility, including studies by size, location and engineering, shows that the ability of the company meets the needs of production, and fit the design required by the conditions of cultivation and the site chosen for implementation. - The administrative and legal study, the proper functioning of the company from clearly defined strategic direction, manuals and work instructions optimum, and legal and regulatory procedures identified, resulting in an enterprise feasible organizational standpoint, reflected in the excellent customer service that is provided. - The financial feasibility study shows positive results to determine the feasibility of creating this new business unit, revenue sufficient to cover its investment costs and maintenance. - The sensitivity analysis evaluated the NPV, IRR and B / C shows that investment should be accepted and that all values obtained are positive. - As stated in the environmental policies of gerbera CAFE, the environmental impact is positive at all times from cleaner processes and environmental protection campaigns implemented in the production and marketing process, supporting social responsibility initiatives and generated environment around the planet. - Finally, it is important to highlight the need for setting up a business with a social and positive impact, they should get the maximum reduction of operating costs to improve the prospects in the project

Estructura interna y diferenciación social urbana: comuna de La Reina

Land value and the role of the private management have been traditionally considered asexplanatory forces of the socio-spatial differenciaton of the urban environment. However, in Chilean cities - specially those which have had a growing metropolization process - shouldbe added state's influence through housing programs for middle and low social sectors, some of them do not having access to formal housing market.Three patterns of social differenciation were identified, starting from size, quality, state ofmaintenance, building year, land value, state role and action of neighboring groups: a)Consolidated urban area, characterized by its social heterogeneity; b) transitional-expansional urban area, defined by its high status of social homogeneity,and c) peripheral-consolidated urban area of low economical status.Special emphasis is put on the third category, which has been calleds ubintegrated habitat. ln fact, in front of the apparent homogeneity of this sector, it is possible indetify some social differences, specially from the point of view of the works status of the inhabitants, which are a product of the housing problem management in this space

Case ReportCeruminous otitis in native chicken breeders belonging toRobusta Lionatabreed

At the beginning of 2005, an outbreak of ceruminous otitis has been observed in a breeders flock belonging to the Robusta Lionata breed, a native chicken breed reared in a Centre for the valorisation and conservation of native poultry breeds. The disease caused a high morbidity rate (90% of birds), whereas the mortality affected only 10% of the birds. The death of the birds was preceded by clinical signs, such as worsening of the ceruminous otitis with abundant secretion of bad-smelling cerumen, lack of appetite and depression. The otitis externa, mainly bilateral, was the only evident finding at necropsy. Laboratory examinations showed only the presence of Mycoplasma synoviae, either by isolation on culture media or by PCR, on ear and choana samples. Aspergillus fumigatus was detected only in one bird. In this paper, the Authors report for the first time on an outbreak of ceruminous otitis in native chicken breeds and point out that the only pathogenic agent isolated from the birds has been Mycoplasma synoviae

AUDIODESCRIÇÃO E DEFICIÊNCIA INTELECTUAL: UM ESTUDO SOBRE O PAPEL DO USUÁRIO

Esse artigo tem como objetivo relatar um estudo empírico realizado pelo grupo Tramad sobre a audiodescrição para o público com deficiência intelectual, que confirmou a hipótese da necessidade de explicitação de associações e significados complexos realizados em obras de uma exposição no MAM- Bahia em 2013. O estudo contou com a participação de alunos da APAE e usou parte da teoria de David Präkel sobre a imagem fotográfica para estruturar a análise. A principal proposta do estudo é incluir o usuário com deficiência intelectual no processo de elaboração do roteiro de audiodescrição. 

Capítulo VII: variabilidad genética y ambiental entre líneas de tomate "chonto", Lycopersicon esculentum Mill, sin utilizar pruebas de progenie

&lt;p&gt;This paper reports the results of a study on genetic and environmental variability between 43 lines of "Chonto" tomato, Lycopersicon esculentum Mill, without using progeny offspring test. The experimental material were planted under field conditions using three randomized blocks. Data on individual plants were recorded for yield/plant, number of fruit/plant, average fruit weight, number of inflorescences/plant, number of fruits/inflorescence, number of locules/fruit, average locule weight, fruit shape index, pericarp thickness, days to flowering, harvest lenght, plant heigh, first inflorescence heigh, internode lenght, reaction to the presence of Scrobipalpula absoluta and Xanthomonas vesicatoria. The quantitative characters were subjeted to variance analysis in orden to evaluate the genetic and environmental variation. Heritability in the wide sense, genetic variability coeficient and the expected progress by selection were estimated. Fenotipic, environmental and genetic correlations among some evaluated characters were also carried out. Important  genotipic differences, at 1% of probability, for the evaluated characters were found. Generally, in the most of the evaluated characters the largest contribution of the total variation correspond to the genetic variation. The contribution of the environmental variation was very low.&lt;/p&gt;<br>&lt;p&gt;Con el fin de analizar la variabilidad genética y ambiental, de algunos caracteres agronómicos importantes en tomate "chonto" se evaluaron 43 líneas, en condiciones de campo utilizando un diseño experimental de bloques al azar con tres repeticiones. Los datos experimentales se obtuvieron a partir de tres plantas individuales por repetición y en plena competencia. Se evaluaron los siguientes caracteres cuantitativos: producción por planta, número de frutos por planta, peso promedio de frutos, número de inflorescencias por planta, número de frutos por inflorescencias, número de lóculos por fruto, peso promedio de lóculos, formato de fruto, grosor de pericarpio, días a primera flor abierta, duración de la cosecha, altura de la planta en el momento de la cosecha, altura de la primera inflorescencia y longitud del primer entrenudo. Se realizó el análisis de varianza con miras a evaluar la varianza genética y la varianza ambiental, heredabilidad en el sentido amplio, coeficiente de varianza genética y progreso esperado por selección. También se efectuaron correlaciones fenotípicas, genotípicas y ambientales entre algunos caracteres evaluados. Se encontraron diferencias genotípicas al 1% de probabilidad, para todos los caracteres evaluados. Para la mayoría de los caracteres evaluados, la varianza genética obtuvo mayor contribución a la varianza fenotípica. El aporte de la varianza ambiental fue muy bajo.&lt;/p&gt

Transformation of the labor market in the framework of the sars-covid-19 pandemic: jurisprudential incidents and vicisions.

OBSTÁCULOS À EFETIVAÇÃO DO DIREITO AO ACESSO À JUSTIÇA: PLAIN LANGUAGE E VISUAL LAW COMO FERRAMENTAS METODOLÓGICAS PARA IMPLEMENTAÇÃO DA PRIMEIRA ONDA DE ACESSO À JUSTIÇA

O acesso à justiça se apresenta como um direito fundamental que está muito além do acesso ao Poder Judiciário. A efetivação deste direito humano, todavia, passou e passa por uma série de obstáculos que precisaram ser enfrentados no passado e que precisam ser superados até os dias atuais. A dificuldade que a grande maioria das pessoas têm em compreender os seus direitos se apresenta como uma das barreiras a serem enfrentadas, afinal de contas, para um efetivo acesso à justiça, é necessário, primeiramente, o conhecimento dos direitos consagrados nos textos normativos. Nesse cenário, o presente trabalho tem como objetivo estudar como as ferramentas metodológicas da Plain Language e do Visual Law podem ser importantes mecanismos para dirimir a assimetria comunicacional que permeia a compreensão do direito pelos seus destinatários ainda que minimamente.
